Job Description

Goat Wrangler - Goat Transporter

This person loads and unloads goats and various job sites. For smaller urban jobs we use a pick-up with large dog kennels. For Medium jobs we use a 16 foot enclosed trailer. For larger jobs we use a double deck goose-neck trailer that is 30' long. Good driving record and experience is required for this position. Also lots of patience when trying to load naughty goats! This task requires that the employee may need to report to our home base in Faribault from time to time.

Time Availability - We understand that many people have other jobs, retired and don't want to work 40 hours a week, etc. I have other job(s) or commitments and I am doing this on the sideI am ok with part-time but would be open to full-time in future after I determine its a good fit.I am only looking for full time

Time Availability - Continued I can work once or twice a year when the goats are working in my neighborhood area. (Volunteer Goat Watcher)I would prefer to work weekdaysI would prefer to work weekendsI could work both weekdays and weekendsI could work some holidays

Time Availability - Continued - The answer below would be the ideal level of work per week/per season considering my unique schedule. We understand its hard to guess the future but do the best you can. Example: I would like to work most weekends starting May 1st and would also open on Tuesdays and Friday Mornings. After June 15th I have basketball camp and could work after 1pm most weekdays until July. In September I go back to school and could help some weekends... etc

Vehicle Options I have a mode of transportation to get to job sites. If I am on emergency goat call I can get to sites within 30 minutes (Goat Watchers)I have a pick-up truck that could be used for hauling fence between job sites (Fence Installers)I have a pick-up truck that could be used for hauling goats in large kennels without a trailer (For smaller urban jobs). I would be compensated for the use of my truck (Goat Transporter)I have a 3/4 or 1 ton truck that could be used for hauling goats in trailers (For Medium to Large Jobs). I would be compensated for the use of my truck (Goat Transporter)I would prefer to use Goat Dispatch company vehicles (Fencers and Goat Transporters).

Physical Condition I can walk moderate distances - half a mile and on semi-level terrainI can walk long distances - a mile plus on semi-level to slightly steep terrainI can walk long distances - up to 2 miles on very steep terrain.I can lift up to 50 lbs (Fence Installers and Goat Transporters)

Farm Experience I currently work on a farm or have worked on a farm in the pastI currently work with goats or have worked with goats in the pastI currently work with livestock(cows, pigs, sheep, horses etc) or have worked with livestock in the pastI have not worked on a farm or with animals in the past but I am willing to learn.

Direct Deposit Payment - Our only payment method is to do is direct deposit to your account. I have a checking or savings account funds could be transferred to.I do not currently have an account but can set one up before I work. Quickbooks has a way you can sign up for a card that we can transfer money to.
